MAGNEWIN High Voltage Power Capacitors feature with latest design innovation i.e. Film Foil design, Extended foil (Corona ring) construction with edge soldering and edge end folding of electrode foil. Large units up to 400 kVAr in a single container can be offered giving the benefit of kVAr to volume ratio thereby reducing installation cost and space. These capacitors are used for compensating transmission line losses. as well as power factor improvement. Automatic switched capacitor banks may also be supplied as per customer’s requirement.

Each capacitor unit consists of number of elements in series/parallel combination with or without internal fuses. Each element is wound with high quality Hazy BOPP film as dielectric and high purity Aluminum Foil as Electrode. We adopt extended foil construction, which enhances life expectancy of capacitor. Normally the electrode material i.e. aluminum foil has sharp points at the slit edge which causes high stress at the sharp points at the slit edges (corona effect) causing damage to the capacitor. To overcome this phenomenon, the edge of the aluminum foil is folded such that no sharp points are left over. These folding forms a ring designated as CORONA RING. Non-PCB, synthetic fluid used for impregnation is non-toxic , bio gradable, environmental friendly.
